We are a group of concerned citizens who want the direction and management of Benner Township to move forward with transparency, accountability, respect and duty to protect and maintain the health, safety and welfare of all Benner Township residents.

We plan to begin posting information from township meetings that show majority and minority opinions on issues.

What Is Our Mission?

Our mission is to inform fellow citizens of issues and decisions involving our township government. especially how many decisions are made without public discussion and explanation, without looking at the future impact of those decisions, without regard for and respect to ALL Benner Township residents. The duty of an elected supervisor is to “protect and maintain the health, safety and welfare of every township resident.”  To do otherwise is a dereliction of duty.

We continue to hold true to the tenets below:

1. Support efforts for public water to Walnut Grove Estates and other parts of the township where water shows pollutants and contamination.

2. Treat all citizens of our township and region equally with courtesy, respect, and value.

3. Balance the development of new commercial and residential areas with support infrastructure.  Promote responsible zoning to accommodate the needs of Benner Township residents.

4. Promote township business with transparency and honesty. 

5. Hold those responsible for contamination of our lands and water.

6. Support continuation of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to maintain its viability for our residents.

7. Continue the Summer Recreation Program for our youth by supporting the Township Recreation Committee on other ideas to expand the program throughout the year.

8. Work with PennDot to expand safety capacity on Benner Pike for increased development currently approved.

9. Review what upgrades are necessary for township roads currently under plan.

10. Review how Benner Township can maintain bus service for our residents that links points between Bellefonte and State College.

11. With so many costs rising for our residents, maintain real estate tax structure that avoids wasteful spending that leads to increases.
